Sand plant questions
| Two recent editorials in the Chippewa Herald highlighted some of the frustrations experienced by concerned citizens in Chippewa Falls and surrounding areas regarding the proposed Canadian Sand and Proppant processing plant. The size and operation of this plant will be of a scale far larger than any existing industry in the city, and answers given to increasing numbers of questions from individuals have not always been supported by reliable evidence. For informed decisions, the environmental and health issues must be clearly understood by everyone. Lots of information is available at www.ccc-wis.com. We strongly support a communitywide forum to address these concerns with scientists, health experts and professional environmentalists, as well as those who support the plant.
